Canned Tuna Yum

Yum Canned Tuna is a very easy dish to make at home. It’s ready to eat in minutes. Instead of adding mayo next time you reach for a can of tuna fish, try this recipe instead!

Directions

  1. Drain the oil or water out of the can, and smash the tuna into medium size chunks (see picture to the right).
  2. Add lime juice, fish sauce, chilies & shallots. Mix well.
  3. That’s it! Easy!

    This is a quick, great snack, and it’s very healthy! I added a plum tomato also, as we did that at a thai restaurant I used to work at. Tasty!

    I tried this today for lunch when i didnt have much on hand. I had tuna in water and i couldn’t stand the raw shallots, so i sautéed the shallot for like 30s in 1.5 teaspoons of olive oil first then poured it in the tuna. I also added chopped mints in the mix. Very good. Thanks for the simple recipe. Love your website in general. I used to live in Thailand for 3 years. Thailand is like my second homeland.
