Hey, I just bought a package of aroy-d Sour Curry Paste and some tamarind paste (in the little brick form?) and limes which is required listed on the packet. What I need to know is what shellfish/seafood is the best with this curry?? Also, what kind of veggies should I use. i can probably get daikon radish, but should I use snow peas, snap beans, or cabbage for this recipe?? Should I be brave and do something of my own design??? Perhaps, something sinfully Southern like okra??? Anyone that may have any help in this matter before dinner time would be greatly welcomed to leave a helpful comment...lol (It's 2p.m. now)

If it was called sour soup some people might confuse it with tom yum. The basic translation from Thai to English is tom=soup and gaeng=curry, you could say what about gaeng juud but it is also referred to as tom juud where as gaeng som is not the same as tom som.

Gaeng Som is probably my most favorite thai curry recipe. I remembered at restaurants it would be served in a fish-shaped hot pot with fire underneath. So good! You could also buy readily made Sour Curry in a container at any thai grocery or at some Asian grocery stores.
